Crystal Mountain Resort won over 5 other contenders as Benzie County’s business of the year

The Benzie County Chamber of Commerce has announced the winner of its Outstanding Business Member of the Year award for 2010, and it goes to Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa.

The resort was one of 16 Chamber of Commerce members nominated for the award this year, and one of six of those nominees who completed the application process for the award. Those six then were considered by a committee, and the final selection of Crystal Mountain was approved by the chamber's board of directors.

"We are so appreciative to receive this honor and to be recognized among the many successful businesses in Benzie County," says Jim MacInnes, Crystal Mountain CEO. "Crystal Mountain greatly benefits from being located in a beautiful part of Michigan but it's the talented, hardworking and welcoming people of this area that sets the resort apart. This award is a reflection of their dedication to our guests."

The five other businesses considered this year were Benzie Area Christian Neighbors, Betsie Bay Inn, Frankfort Pines, Honor Motel and Platte Valley Automotive, all of which will also be recognized at the Chamber's Annual Dinner, along with the award presentation.
