Aaron Stander has a new entry in his Ray Elkins series out this summer. It's called Death in a Summer Colony, and launched with an event at
Brilliant Books in Traverse City.
It's the seventh in Stander's mystery series, set in the Leelanau Peninsula and often featuring local characters, like Brilliant Books owner Peter Makin, who Stander says was the inspiration for his bookseller character Phillip Noble.
Stander moved to the area permanently in 2000 and lives near Interlochen.
