A new watersports company starting up in Traverse City is going to be much higher profile thanks to a small business loan from the
Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce.
Rush Watersports is an outdoor recreation equipment supplier in Traverse City, owned by Cameron Davies. It recently secured a $29,000 loan from the chamber to develop its website, market itself and add new equipment to move the business forward.
The loan came from the chamber's USDA Rural Development Intermediary Relending program, and actually is one of several local small loans given to businesses that can help strengthen the Traverse City area economy. Other help accompanying the loans includes business counseling from SCORE and other chamber benefits.
