Storage unit auctions aren't just fodder for reality TV shows -- for a new entrepreneur in Gaylord, they're how he makes a living.
With the success of shows like "Storage Wars," Paul Andreski saw an opportunity for a new resale store in northern Michigan. So he opened
Seconds on Center, appropriately at 501 N. Center Ave. in Gaylord, in late 2012.
The store's inventory comes from two places--the contents of abandoned storage units, and consignments from local residents. The offerings change frequently and include toys, clothing, appliances, furniture, and other items.
Seconds on Center is open Monday to Saturday.
