An Ohio technology company has bought up part of Traverse City-based Safety Net's operations.
Rumpf Computer Solutions in Toledo, Ohio, announced it has acquired a portfolio of restaurant point-of-sale business clients from Safety Net. The clients are based in northern, western and southeastern Michigan and operate a software service called Dinerware.
Rumpf has partnered with Safety Net to offer this and other services in the past, but Safety Net is now focusing on managed IT services at small and mid-size businesses. Rumpf specializes in point-of-sale technology, making them a better fit to buy that part of Safety Net.
"We came to understand that our restaurant clients would be best served by a POS provider who strongly specializes in their industry," says Beth Holmes-Bozung, principal at Safety Net. "Rumpf Computer Solutions is highly regarded by the Dinerware community nationwide as technical experts, and they've built a presence in Michigan where we knew these clients would be well cared for."
