There's a new gym and fitness center in town - sort of. The former Premier Health and Fitness on South Garfield Avenue in Traverse City has been sold to new owners.
The same location now will be called
Club One, owned by Tim and Holly Rudolph, a husband-and-wife team. Among the changes clients can expect to see are fresh paint and interior updates, but all previous memberships will be honored.
"We saw the need for a high-quality health club in Traverse City. At Club One, we are looking to cater to health-conscious people who want a clean, first-class gym experience," says Tim. "We want the feel of a luxury club, but without the intimidation."
Past the first "redecorating" phase, the Rudolphs also plan to do a rebranding of the fitness center, including renovation of the front entrance and addition of a new beverage bar.
They say the current staff will be retained, and existing class schedules will carry on as planned, though new offerings will be coming along in the future, including corporate wellness programs and other incentives.
