Northgoods opens in Petoskey

From the co-owner of Sturgeon River Pottery in Petoskey comes a new store in downtown Petoskey, called Northgoods.

As the name and pedigree might suggest, Northgoods carries American handcrafted and fine art. It's a subsidiary of Sturgeon River Pottery, and owned by Dana Andrews.

The new addition to Petoskey's historic Gaslight District is located at 306 Howard Street, also known as the Northern Art Building, and is managed by Anne Thrush, an artist and jewelry maker.

Northgoods will focus on offering the work of northwest Michigan's artists and crafters to both local residents and seasonal visitors. Besides the store's offerings of an array of handcrafted gift and art items, an Art Loft gallery will be the home of works in photography, sculpture and painting.
