Next IT expands to Traverse City with new acquisition

Common Sense Computing in Traverse City has been acquired by Muskegon-based IT company Next I.T.

Common Sense, a full-service computer networking and communication company, specializes in the K-12 education and small to mid-size businesses. They provide service, support, hardware, telecommunications, and the staff to install and service those systems.

Next I.T., on the other hand, is a technology managed services provider creating industry-specific technology solutions for businesses, certified in servers and support, voice-over-internet phone, networking, web development, internet marketing and e-commerce. The two companies can expand their reach and provide more services to clients together.

"We are excited about Common Sense Computing because they are already an established IT solutions provider in northern Michigan," says Eric Ringelberg, CEO of Next I.T. "With this acquisition, Next I.T. now serves clients from the Mackinac Bridge to northern Indiana--offering the widest local coverage in Michigan."
