The community of Elk Rapids is now the home to
Elk Shores Assisted Living, which offers up adult foster care services.
The business, which just opened last month, is just 20 minutes from downtown Traverse City and offers up all the comforts of home, plus many services that just aren't available in the typical household. For example, there is a 24-hour staff at the six-bed facility as well as exterior door alarms, an in-room call system, laundry and housekeeping services and amenities that include cable and central air conditioning.
In addition, the Elk Shores Assisted Living facility also has a full schedule of daily activities, medication management and the staff coordinates efforts with hospice providers as well as in-home health services.
