Copper Falls Steakhouse opens

A new dining option is on the table for Traverse City visitors and residents.

The Copper Falls Steakhouse has opened on Garfield Road in the Cherryland Center, formerly the Big Easy and TC Traders restaurant. The building has been renovated with a warm, welcoming feel including a climate-controlled wine room, three waterfalls and copper-stamped ceilings.

The upscale eatery offers an extensive wine list, sixteen Michigan-crafted beers on tap, and a farm-to-table approach from executive chef Josh Benedict. Locally-sourced beef and daily fresh seafood are highlights of the menu.

Copper Falls Steakhouse is owned by Todd Gokey and Beth MacLean, who have revamped other Traverse City businesses, including the Howard Johnson in Traverse City.

Take out orders are available by calling ahead. The steakhouse is serving lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday. It's closed on Sundays.
