CC Jewelers and Coins & Collectibles both have a new home together, recently picking up from their former location in the Cherryland Center to a new, 6,000-square-foot showroom at 1045 S. Garfield Ave.
"Although we're still under one roof, we have separate entrances for each business," says David Croad, owner of the businesses. "Through one door people will find rare and collectible coins, and will be able to sell their unwanted gold or silver. Or, they can invest in gold or silver bullion. It’s all easier and more discrete with the two businesses being separated. Through the other door, people will find a vast array of ‘one of a kind’ as well as custom designed rings, necklaces, pendants, watches and other fine jewelry."
In addition to the new showroom, Croad says the businesses have made the investment in several pieces of new equipment to better serve their customers. One such item is a laser welder, which is used in creating custom jewelry, as well as repairing jewelry.
The Coins & Collectibles business opened in 1959 and in 1993 Croad purchased it. In 2005, he added CC Jewelers as a sister company.
Last year, Croad purchased the former Lauren Hanna building and remodeled it to be the new home for his businesses.
