The innovative
Morsels Bakery in Traverse City is growing again, as it opens a new café-style location inside the Hagerty Auto Insurance office building in downtown TC.
The new Hagerty building on Lake Street, which just opened in the fall of 2012, is now home to Cavallino Café, which features an Italian-themed breakfast and lunch menu, which includes, as it should, delicious coffees and teas from Intelligentsia, and bite-sized treats from the bakery itself.
Cavallino Café is one of two partner businesses opening up in the Hagerty building, which was part of the design and plan for the new construction. The other is a gym named Ironworks which currently is open to Hagerty employees only, but may include the public in the future, although there are no immediate plans to do so.
There's another partnership between Ironworks and the café as well, as staff from each worked together to create "gym-approved" menu items that are perfect for those concentrating on health and fitness.
Cavallino Café, in the meantime, is open to the public and welcoming lunch, breakfast or coffee customers with new winter hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
