Benjamin Twiggs moving to new space to accommodate growth

Local cherry products icon Benjamin Twiggs is moving, but not too far. The store is now open next door to its previous location, at 1213 E. Front Street in Traverse City. The new space is much larger, says owner Julie Millen, and will provide more floor space.

Shipping, packaging and operations also will have more space and a more efficient area.

"This move will allow us to better meet our customers’ needs, expand some of our product offerings, and bring back some of the popular memorabilia from the old store," says Millen.

Another new addition is an 8-foot stained glass window that hung in a previous store decades ago but hasn't been displayed lately. Well, why not bring it back, when you have that much room? The new location will have a grand opening in June.

Benjamin Twiggs was founded in 1966 and recently was selected as a Top 10 Chamber of Commerce Small Business in 2011.
