If you're looking for something to eat that is a bit different than your everyday fare, perhaps you should head on over to 400 W. Main Street in Gaylord and visit the
Baklava Village Cafe.
There, you can sample some of the most popular dishes from the Middle East, such as gyros, kibee and shwarma. And, of course, you can snag other items, too, like mouth-watering baklava.
The café, which is owned by Claude Freije and Sonja Oswald, also offers up several vegetarian options and some American-based choices for those who aren't quite so adventurous with their taste buds.
The Baklava Village Café also offers up specialty drinks as well as a full ice cream counter that features many interesting shakes, malts and sundaes.
Baklava Village Café is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
