There is no doubt that
BaaBaaZuZu makes some outstanding clothes. Their line of women's clothes, made out of upcycled wool sweaters and suits, are impressive, to say the least.
But now, in partnership with
Paperworks Studio, BaaBaaZuZu will be providing a new kind of upcycled product--
Cardigan Cards.
"The concept of the Cardigan Cards was presented by Paperworks," says BaaBaaZuZu general manager Lisa Brookfield. "We were working with them on another project. At the same time, they were beginning to experiment with handmade papers using recycled materials. It was a natural connection for us. We are always looking for ways to further reduce our scrap. What better way than to create a line of cards from the off cuts of our sweaters?"
People have already started taking note of the cards, which are available for purchase on both the BaaBaaZuZu website as well as Paperworks, and a small buzz has started on social media sites.
"The story of how the cards are made is interesting, from our factory and the process the wool goes through to the talented group of artisan's at PWS turning scrap into beautiful stationary," says Brookfield. "Purchasing these cards makes a difference in people's lives and our customers respond to that."
Brookfield said her team is excited to be working with Paperworks to offer this product to the public. She said not only does Paperworks create an exceptional product, but the cards help BaaBaaZuZu get closer to their goal of zero waste.
