CMU plans to open Detroit campus

The latest step in the revitalization of Detroit might be coming from a mid-Michigan school: CMU is going to open a campus right downtown.
 
Excerpt: Central Michigan University plans to open a Global Campus center at 777 Woodward Avenue by spring 2014, according to a report from the Mount Pleasant college's student newspaper CM Life.
 
The university earlier this year approved spending $143,000 a year for 4,000 square feet of space in the One Kennedy Square building on Campus Martius Park.
