Wolgast Corporation of Saginaw, a commercial construction firm, announced five new hires will join its staff.
Taking on the role of business developer for Wolgast will be Rick Suitor, a Freeland resident who will seek out and develop new clients for the company, as well as serve existing customers across all divisions. Suitor has six years of previous sales and consulting experience and has owned his own consulting firm. He has a background in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries, and is a Vietnam War veteran.
Jason Van Hoey of Midland will be project manager of water mitigation for Wolgast's restoration division. His job will be to provide emergency services, manage water mitigation, create estimates, and ensure the company is compliant with water mitigation standards. He has a degree from Central Michigan University and has 14 years of experience in claims adjusting.
In the same division, Caprice Castano of Swartz Creek will be the new project manager assistant, helping Van Hoey and other project managers, as well as coordinating with clients, on restoration projects. Castano has 18 years of construction and property development experience.
Brandon Case of Freeland will join Wolgast as an IT technician, assisting other employees across all departments with hardware and software needs, and analyzing systems and practices. He holds a bachelor's degree in information technology from Central Michigan University.
Finally, Trudi Gorkowski, a Midland resident, will be a project manager assistant at Wolgast. She has two years of construction administration experience and will help project managers on design, building and general construction projects, as well as assisting estimators with the bid process.
Wolgast has been around since 1948 and provides construction services including management, design and build, architecture and engineering, real estate development and insurance restoration.
