Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant gets several magazine awards

It's no secret to mid-Michigan residents that the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mt. Pleasant is the place to go for entertainment, and now it's been recognized by casino patrons across the Midwest as well.

Soaring Eagle was honored with the "Best Overall Casino" award for 2010 from the readers of Strictly Slots Magazine. The award is part of the magazine's annual "Best Of" survey. The publication reaches slot and video gaming patrons across the nation.

It wasn't the only top honor the casino has taken from patrons this year, either. 2010 also saw Soaring Eagle named "Favorite Michigan Casino" by the readers of Midwest Gaming and Travel, and "Best Overall Gaming Resort" by Casino Player magazine.

In the Strictly Slots survey's Midwest Native American casino category, Soaring Eagle also took several other additional first place awards, and a number of second and third place honors.

"I want to thank all of our employees for making guest service their number one priority," says Andy Asselin, Soaring Eagle's chief executive officer. "It is because of our employees' hard work and dedication that Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort continues to achieve top recognition from our patrons and the industry."

It's actually been something of a banner year for customer recognition for Soaring Eagle; this distinction marks the 73rd "Best Of" honor the casino has gotten this year, with 36 of those being first-place honors.

The casino is owned by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan.
