Midland Christian School has a new leader at its head for the time being, as the school's board announced it has appointed Eric Robyn as interim headmaster.
Midland Christian School is a small private school that offers a classical-focused, Christian-centered education after the model of the education that classical leaders and thinkers had, including history, literature, philosophy, Latin, math and science, in a curriculum that emphasizes the Christian worldview and character development.
Robyn has extensive experience in similar education, including a recent stint as headmaster of the Veritas Academy in Savannah, Georgia. He also is a West Point graduate and a retired U.S. Army colonel, and holds three master's degrees. Robyn holds the endorsement of the Association of Classical Christian Schools and began work in July.
"Midland Christian School has a wonderful history of Christian education that goes back over fifty years," says Robyn. "As interim headmaster, I am honored to be joining the MCS family and look forward to working alongside parents, teachers and the board to educate and equip young men and women to follow their calling and to extend the Lord's kingdom wherever he leads."
A campus visit for families to meet Robyn is planned for 6:30 p.m. August 21. Midland Christian School was founded in 1960 and offers classes from pre-kindergarten to high school.
