A new online program will soon be allowing professionals to more easily earn their MBA degree from
Davenport University, starting in January of 2015.
The school, with campuses in Flint, Midland and Saginaw, will be offering a new Competency-based Master's of Business Administration program, which is designed for business professionals who may have skills or competencies in various areas of business that would usually be studied in a traditional MBA program. It will allow them to get credit for skills they already have, and learn more in-depth skills in areas in which they may be lacking knowledge.
"The Davenport University CMBA is a completely different approach to graduate education and is the first of its kind in Michigan," says Dr. Irene Bembenista, interim dean of Davenport's Donald W. Maine College of Business. "We are eager to offer this online program to business professionals wherever they may be, helping help them prepare for accelerated career advancement in a more cost-effective way."
