Boulanger adds depth to MidMichigan Innovation Center Board

The MidMichigan Innovation Center has seen a continual growth in clients and new programs over the past year, and in response has chosen to expand its board of directors with the addition of Rodney Boulanger.

Boulanger's background in innovative energy ventures brings additional perspectives and expertise to MidMichigan Innovation Center. As a private, nonprofit organization, MidMichigan Innovation Center is focused on accelerating success for entrepreneurs and start-up companies through mentoring, staff support, facilities, training, contacts and education.

"I have lived and worked through the process of creating unique and successful ventures," Boulanger says. "I am hopeful my experience and networks will add to the Innovation Center's success."

Boulanger, former Midland Cogeneration Venture CEO and currently a senior consultant for them, was involved in the creation and senior management of unique energy projects such as MCV, the Great Plains Coal Gasification Venture, and building and operating power plants around the world. He has extensive experience working with partnerships, and service on Boards of Directors, including Primary Energy, Chemical Bank, and other community organizations. His experience in energy systems, strategic planning and development, personnel and finance is expected to add depth to the MidMichigan Innovation Center board.

Boulanger rounds out the MidMichigan Innovation Center board, joining these members: Dave Kepler, Chair (The Dow Chemical Company); Joe Asiala (The Dow Chemical Company); John Bartos (JS&B Associates); Susan Cook (Lambert, Leser, Isackson, Cook & Giunta, P.C.); Dan Futter (Dow Corning); Ken Kousky (IP3, Inc.); Bill Moneypenny (MidMichigan Innovation Center and MITECH+); Alan Ott (Rollin M.
