Elgie Bright to head automotive marketing program at Northwood University

The Northwood University automotive marketing program will have a new chair with Elgie Bright taking the role. He was named to the position do to the retirement of Joseph Lescota, who has held the position since 2000.

"I'm delighted to welcome Elgie Bright to Northwood University," says Dr. Lance Lewis, academic dean at Northwood. "His long experience in various aspects of the automotive industry and his passion for helping students learn will maintain the quality and excellence of our automotive programs that Professor Lescota has continued during his tenure."

Bright earned a bachelor of arts from Adrian College and his MBA from Northwood University. He has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive retail, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and aftermarket industry.

Bright has held the position of field district sales manager for General Motors for the last 12 years with the responsibilities of implementing market plans for assigned areas and focusing on meeting all strategic growth initiatives.
