Midland biotechnology company
GANTEC Inc. has announced a new board of directors to oversee the company’s future growth.
"We are pleased that J. Kermit Campbell, Edward Rich and Kenneth Van Heel are participating as independent members of the GANTEC Inc. board. They bring their considerable experience and expertise to help GANTEC grow into a highly successful company," says Richard Olson, president of GANTEC, Inc.
Campbell is a past president of Dow Corning USA, and current CEO of Herman Miller Corporation. Rich is a practicing attorney, and former CFO for Union Carbide Corporation, a subsidiary of Dow Chemical. Van Heel is the director of alternative investments at Dow Chemical.
Olson says the company currently is working on processing and application technology that will improve agricultural practices. Its two lead scientists are Dr. Lanny Robbins, retired Dow researcher and appointee to the National Academy of Engineers, and Dr. Joseph Affholter, an inventor of biological and chemical technologies. Each works on merging the fields of chemical processing and biochemistry to find new ways to increase plant yields, improve environmental and economic agriculture results.
