Financial Edge Community Credit Union employees in Bay City received promotions and new roles at the credit union recently.
Former marketing manager Pam Swope now will be the director of marketing and compliance, a position on the credit union's executive management team. She comes to the position with 20 years of experience at credit unions, and has been with Financial Edge since 2003.
Swope also holds several certifications within the industry, and serves on committees for the Michigan Credit Union League, as well as being an active Bay County community member with groups like the Chamber of Commerce and United Way.
Mike Michalski was promoted to accounting and asset resolution manager at the credit union, which will have him overseeing accounting and collections. Michalski has been with Financial Edge since 2001 and brings more than 20 years in the financial industry to the job.
Michalski also serves as a member of the Bay County Fraud Prevention Group and the Northeast Region Bankruptcy Task Force.
"I am very pleased to announce these employee promotions. Pam has been an asset to FinancialEdge Community Credit Union since joining us in June of 2003, and I have no doubt she will continue to play a key role in the Credit Union's continued growth and development," says Jeremy Coberley, president and CEO of the credit union.
"Because of his previous experience within the financial services industry in addition to the skills he has acquired in his time with FinancialEdge, Mike's transition to the Accounting and Asset Resolution Manager will be a part of our ongoing management of credit union financial safety and soundness in today's current economy," he says of Michalski.
