Saginaw Valley State University's College of Business and Management will have a new resource for learning this fall; retired Chemical Bank president and CEO Dom Monastiere will be on staff as a half-time executive-in-residence.
Monastiere's role will be to share the knowledge and experience he acquired in 46 years of working in banking, more than half of which was as a bank president.
Besides his time as Chemical Bank president, Monastiere also has served as executive VP and chief risk management officer at Chemical Bank, and as president and CEO of Michigan National Bank in Midland. His previous experience also included stints at the Michigan National Corporation and the National Bank of Detroit.
Monastiere, a Bay City resident, will begin his new role as executive-in-residence in August in preparation for the fall semester at SVSU.
