Ask the DNR to air this week on CMU Public Television

If you've ever had any questions about the outdoors or the rules that govern the outdoors pastimes here in Michigan, then Ask the DNR is the show you should be tuning into.

The show, which will air as a one-hour special on CMU Public Television Thursday at 7:30 p.m., airs live and features professional advice from DNR Law Enforcement Division’s Dean Molnar, Conservation Officer Sergeant Joe Molnar, Wildlife Division’s Russ Mason and Mark Tonello, a Fisheries Biologist.

"It's important to know the rules of outdoor recreation when it comes to hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, or visiting parks and campgrounds," says producer Courtney Brooks. "That's why the Michigan Department of Natural Resources is committed to helping us understand those rules and protect our natural and cultural resources."

Viewers can get their questions to the week’s specialists two different ways: call in and speak to phone volunteers from 7:30-8:30 p.m. during the live program by calling 800-727-9268, or tweet the production crew their questions at @WCMU_AskThe.

The Ask The Specialists series airs live from the WCMU studio each Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and allows you to ask anonymous questions of a variety of in-studio specialists. Our specialists include doctors, lawyers, realtors, builders, gardeners, CPAs, small business specialists, senior care specialists, home energy specialists and more.

Upcoming October programs include Ask The Home Energy Specialists on Oct. 27.

CMU Public Television includes WCML Channel 6 Alpena, WCMU Channel 14 Mt. Pleasant, WCMW Channel 21 Manistee, WCMV Channel 27 Cadillac and WCMZ Channel 28 Flint.
