Some people like to look for insurance agents who they can relate to. If you're into volunteering, then Michael Love is the insurance agent for you.
Love, who lives in Midland and has an
Allstate Insurance agency in Mt. Pleasant, was the recipient of the company's Agency Hands in the Community Award for his volunteerism in the community. With the award came a $1,000 grant to Junior Achievement of Central Michigan, where love volunteers.
"Allstate believes that it's important for corporations to take an active interest in the communities they serve," says Thomas Clarkson, vice president of Allstate. "We're proud that our agents are personally involved in their local communities and that we're able to recognize them in a way that assists the non-profit organization they support."
According to Allstate, the award's description is the following: Through the Agency Hands in the Community grant program, Allstate agents and Allstate personal financial representatives are recognized for outstanding commitment to community service with a $1,000 donation to the charitable organization where they volunteer. To qualify for the grant, agents or personal financial representatives must show evidence of volunteer work that has had a positive impact on the local community.
Love's volunteer work doesn't end with Junior Achievement of Central Michigan, either. His other volunteer work includes Midland Community Foundation Academic Selection Committee Member, Michigan Foster Care Review Board, Toys for Tots, National Weather Service Skywarn Storm Spotter for Midland and Isabella Counties, Christmas Outreach of Isabella County, and Isabella County Community Emergency Response Team member.
