It looks like
MidMichigan Health will be adding to its services after it announced that it will be affiliating with Woodland Hospice Morey Bereavement Center in Mt. Pleasant. The deal is expected to be finalized this summer.
Under the agreement, MidMichigan Health will take over the daily operations of Woodland Hospice and will provide services for patients as well as use the facility to base its home care office support services. In addition, MidMichigan will enhance its palliative care program in the area through home visits and by establishing a clinic in the facility that would be overseen by a team that includes a nurse practitioner, a physician and spiritual care service.
Under Woodland Hospice, the center has provided in-home hospice services to patients in eight counties through mid-Michigan.
The agreement keeps the facility under the ownership of Woodland Hospice, which will also maintain the center.
