Housing in Saginaw County is about to see some improvement, with $354,000 in community development grant money arriving to rehabilitate several homes.
The funding comes through the
Michigan State Housing Development Authority and will go to rehabilitation projects on about 15 owner-occupied homes in Buena Vista and Bridgeport townships, and in the village of Chesaning.
"Supporting community development activities enhances the social and economic health of our state," says Wayne Workman, acting executive director for MSHDA.
The funding is part of MSHDA's community development block grant program and has the goal of focusing on investing in affordable housing and placemaking in Michigan.
