LaZeez Indian restaurant opens in Mt. Pleasant

LaZeez Indian Restaurant has been a favorite of Midland diners looking for Indian cuisine for a few years, and now Mt. Pleasant diners can experience the same offerings, as the restaurant has opened a new location there.

LaZeez is now open at 1620 S. Mission Street, in the location of the former Morningstar Bakery, and serves lunch and dinner buffet each day, like the original Midland restaurant. Something else is original from Midland too; manager Steve Vogelsong, who came to Mt. Pleasant to get the new restaurant started out.

He oversees new menu offerings each day, to keep the buffet fresh for returning customers. Some things don't change, however, like the traditional Indian bread called naan, which is baked fresh on-site each day. Other dishes include beef, lamb, chicken, vegetarian, curries, rice, and desserts -- the same menu that got the Midland restaurant voted the best Indian restaurant in the Great Lakes Bay region.

The Mt. Pleasant restaurant also offers carry-out ordering. It's open for lunch and dinner every day except Monday.
