Isabella Community Credit Union's third branch office opened in January, right in downtown Mt. Pleasant, where it can serve Central Michigan University as well as provide another location for its members.
The new branch is in the Towne Center at the corner of Broadway and Main streets, in a former bank building, and opened to the public Jan. 3. It offers all the same services as other ICCU locations, including loans, accounts, night depository, teller services and safe deposit boxes. A new ATM also is in place on Main Street.
A grand opening was held Jan. 24 with the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce. The credit union has been remodeling and renovating the building throughout the winter, after a board decision to lease the building in 2011.
"When the opportunity came, we jumped on it," says Jay Anders, ICCU president and CEO. "We are very excited about starting the New Year out. We're hoping for great things to come of it."
The downtown Mt. Pleasant branch is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and until 5:30 p.m. on Fridays. ICCU's other two Mt. Pleasant locations on Isabella Road and West M-20 remain open. The credit union also has a fourth location, a student-run credit union inside the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center at Mt. Pleasant High School.
Isabella Community Credit Union was founded in 1958 and today has more than 15,000 members.
