Health Delivery, Inc., will open two new primary health care locations in Huron County, as part of a federal grant that aims to expand access to health care.
The grant, totaling $858,333, comes from the Health Resources and Services Administration, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and will fund the opening of the two new sites as well as expansion and stabilization of two Shiawassee County locations. All four will offer comprehensive primary health care including medical, dental, and behavioral health services.
The new locations are a joint effort with community partners including Huron Medical Center and Huron Behavioral Health. One, a federally-qualified health care center, will be located in Bad Axe, and will serve individuals who have Medicaid, are uninsured, or are underinsured.
Health Delivery's services are not based on ability to pay, and are offered without regard to criteria such as race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
