Grove joins Clare physician's practice

Clare patients have a new option in medical care at family practitioner Dr. Joseph Hough's office, with the addition of physician assistant Diane Grove.

McLaren Central Michigan announced the hiring of Grove, who has been a Clare resident for 20 years. She will see primary care patients at her office at 1509 N. McEwan.

Grove began her medical career with a bachelor's degree in dietetics from Central Michigan University, and worked for 14 years as a clinical dietitian in Clare before returning to CMU to earn a master's degree as a physician assistant in 2006.

"It's very important to me to be able to stay in the area to continue working with the patients I've been seeing," Grove says.  "I feel I've landed in the right place at the right time."

Grove also is involved in several community groups, like Alzheimer's and diabetes support groups, TOPS Weight Management Group, Clare County Relay for Life, and Girl Scouts of Mitten Bay.
