Four Michigan artists will be spending two weeks living and working at the William E. Scripps mansion for the first ever artist-in-residence program. During that time they will create pieces inspired by their experience with the mansion. The work will be put together for a competitive event to be held in September.
As part of their residence, the artists will hold a 1/2 work shop on July 11 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Workshop fees are $30 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $5 off if you belong to the Friends of the Scripps Estate.
Registration ends on July 8. Call (248) 391-4445, ext. 1100 to register and space is limited.
