Oakland County Employee Wins NAACP Award

Oakland County Senior Economic Development Representative Mark Adams was honored recently by the Southern Oakland County branch of the NAACP with its Volunteer of the Year Award. The award, which was given Feb. 15 at the 8th Annual Freedom Fund Dinner in Southfield, recognized Adams for his volunteer service.  He has worked for Oakland County's Department of Economic Development & Community Affairs for 12 years and has been a member SOCNAACP for about the same time.  Adams' county work focuses on the Emerging Sectors® program, focusing on homeland security/defense and communications and information technology.
