Beginning August 18 at 10 a.m. the Community Foundation for
Southeast Michigan is providing up to $1 million to match general operating
gifts made online at www.cfsem.org to
support participating arts and cultural organizations. It's simple: go online
that day, and you can select the organization(s) you care about and give any
amount, from as little as $25 to as much as $10,000 per organization. Your gift
will increase by 50% - a match of $1 for every $2 that you contribute!
There are 75 organizations to choose from – from regional treasures with
national reputations to community-based, grassroots organizations in performing
arts, visual arts, history, science, literature, arts education and more.
There are 75 organizations in the program, and of them a number are in Oakland
County. Here is the list:

Matching funds will be awarded on a "first gift, first match" basis.
The matching program will end as soon as the $1 million of match funds are
gone, but gifts will be accepted through August 31. With dozens of
organizations eligible to participate in this challenge, the matching funds
will go quickly!

at 10:00 a.m. on August 18 to make a gift in support of arts and culture in our
region.
