Small's is a rock 'n' roll bar, that's for sure. From the bartenders to the jukebox to the bands that play there, Small's is definitely a place that could musically thrash your face off (that's a good thing, by the way, if you like loud music). Like most bars, it is dark. The bartenders are tattooed, and the PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon if you want to get technical) flows like someone blew up the Hoover Dam.

The space is divided into two. Where the bar slings the drinks and where the bands shred the guitars. This is a nice little setup because you might not like every band playing that night. And, if that's the case, you can hightail it to the bar area where the music is a bit muffled and you can focus on whatever you're drinking or whoever you're trying to chat up.

But it's not all rock 'n' roll. There are a few TVs usually turned to a local sporting event.

Located on the corner of Conant and Caniff, Small's is a great neighborhood rock bar for the East end of Hamtramck.
