Named for the blue blue resort seas of Jordan, Sterling Heights-based Aqaba Technologies is a global Internet strategies company with a focus on web marketing and design, search engine optimization, and pay per click management. They are certified Yahoo and Google ambassadors who create their own software and proprietary techniques.

Locally, Aqaba employs five people will be adding a sixth by autumn and intends to bring in another three by 2009, says President and CEO Ramsey Sweis. With a second office in Lebanon and a development center in India, they have plugged southeast Michigan into the world technology market.

Aqaba's clients include The History Channel, National Geographic, Storage Pro's, Country Club Limousine, and AutoTech Daily (including AutoTechAsia and coming soon, AutoTech Europe).

Their latest client is Red Bull's Air Race along Detroit's waterfront this summer.
