Manatron adds new business to bolster global position

Manatron Inc. continues its push into the global market with a recent acquisition.

It recently acquired International Land Systems and created a new division, Manatron International. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

International Land Systems provides management and land administration software and professional services to government clients in the United States and abroad. It also works with private sector clients and non-governmental organizations around the world.

The company is considered a leading expert in systems that hold a government’s public records and registries of land ownership and value  for legal and taxation purposes. International Land Systems designs, develops and markets a number of land management and land administration software products.

It has deployed software and provided services and training in more than 30 countries worldwide, including China, Qatar, Jamaica, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Germany, Ghana, and the United States. The company has offices located in Kiev, Ukraine and Cochabamba, Bolivia.

Peter Rabley, president and CEO of International Land Systems, will become part of the executive leadership team at Manatron and will serve as executive vice president of Manatron International. Intenational Land Systems has a staff of approximately 85 employees l who joined Manatron effective Dec. 31, 2010.

The acquisition of International Land Systems “immediately expands our business into the international market space,” says Bill McKinzie, president and CEO of Manatron.

“Operating as one company, we can seamlessly go from providing systems that document legal property ownership to systems that value the property and its structures, giving governments the information they need to effectively tax properties, says  McKinzie.

Manatron is headquartered in Portage, Michigan, and has offices throughout the United States. Manatron currently serves over 1,500 customers and manages approximately 40 million parcels.
