Keystone Solutions Group sees 55 percent growth

It would be an understatement to say business is good for Keystone Solutions Group.

The company has experienced 55 percent growth in 2011 over the preceding year and 2010 was record setter. Revenue and customer base both are on the rise.

Keystone Solutions Group is a medical device manufacturer and a product developer that assists companies in taking products from idea stage, through engineering, to market.

In 1997, the company started with a small customer base and a plan to provide services to a diversified range of industries. It now serves the automotive, aerospace, life sciences and medical device industries, among others.

The company also has continued to grow as it seeks out the ideas of inventors, those coming up with the next big idea that Keystone Solutions Group can help get to market.

“We’re unique in that we work with solo inventors and equally well with large companies,” says Robert Nesky, of Keystone Solutions.

The decision to get into the medical device manufacturing business was one that has paid off for the company and is largely behind its tremendous growth, says Nesky.

Connections the company made through its participation in the West Michigan Medical Device Consortium, a group formed by the West Michigan Science and Technology Initiative, has been critical in establishing Keystone Solutions Group with life science businesses that in turn used Keystone Solution’s services.

The company, whose principals are Michael Zamora and James Medsker, has had particular success in the areas of interventional cardiology and orthopedic devices, Nesky says.

Keystone Solution’s staff of about 24 also is growing and it currently is seeking engineers and technical product developers.

The company currently has an 8,000-square-foot facility in Southwest Michigan and there are “definitive plans” to expand in the near future, Nesky says.
