New Program Director joins Volunteer Kalamazoo

Grace Biskie has been named new Program Director for Volunteer Kalamazoo.

She will be responsible for consulting, training, general programs, youth programs, communications and social media. She also is responsible for Day of Caring, a program that matches employers, employees and members of organized labor with projects that allow individuals a behind-the scenes look at nonprofit agencies in our community

Biskie brings 13 years of experience in the nonprofit sector to Volunteer Kalamazoo. She previously
was Program Coordinator for the Kalamazoo Jeter’s Leaders for Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation.

She also currently volunteers as writer for Global Team of 200, a highly specialized group of Mom Bloggers concentrating on issues involving women and girls, children, world hunger and maternal health.

Her experience also includes several years as the Regional Coordinator of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship managing volunteer groups and their staff at colleges and universities in the Midwest.

Biskie is a graduate of Wayne State University in her hometown of Detroit. She  has lived in Kalamazoo with her husband, Dave and two sons for 13 years.

Volunteer Kalamazoo was established in 1965 and has a long history of providing volunteer services to the community.
