The United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties hosted the 8
th annual PITCH-ER THIS! contest Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the Central Michigan University College of Medicine Auditorium. PITCH-ER THIS! is a youth-development competition designed to give local students an opportunity to make a big impact on their community. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges and ballots cast by event attendees. Available funds allowed the United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties to support three ideas pitched by local students.

th graders from Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart Academy. Lillian Dubridge and Sadie Wohlscheid’s $5,000 grant proposal will provide a new grill for the Isabella County Commission on Aging. Dubridge and Wohlscheid received the PITCH-ER THIS! traveling trophy, which will be displayed at Sacred Heart Academy until the 2024 competition.
