Applefest returns to Mt. Pleasant this weekend, after taking a two-year hiatus.
The 33rd annual event, sponsored by the
Zonta Club of Mt. Pleasant, will be held at Papa’s Pumpkin Patch, 3909 S. Summerton Road, on Sat., Sept. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At the pumpkin patch, you’ll find children’s games, hayrides, crafts, and, of course, homemade apple pie, apple delight, apple cider, and apple slushies. Zonta Club members will be busy baking on Friday in order to have fresh treats for Applefest.
Admission is free.
Papa’s Pumpkin Patch also will be selling fresh donuts and pumpkins for fall decorations or baking.
Zonta International is dedicated to promoting women’s rights as human rights. Women interested in building a better world for women and girls are invited to consider joining the Zonta Club of Mt. Pleasant, which celebrates its 70th anniversary in October.
