Time is winding down for a chance to win $100 in gift cards to local business and the opportunity to show off your photo skills to the community.
Submissions for the fifth annual #FeelsLikeFall Instagram Photo Contest are currently open now through Tuesday, Oct. 22. The photo contest is held by the Mt. Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau each year.
"Fall in Michigan is truly a sight to see," says Angela Martin, digital marketing coordinator at the MPACVB.
"Our annual photo contests give us the opportunity to showcase Isabella County through the eyes of visitors and community members."
Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to take photos of their favorite fall scenes and activities in Isabella County. Then post the photos on personal Instagram pages with the hashtag #FeelsLikeFall and the @MtPleasantCVB tag. The photo will be shared to the MPCVB page where the photo with the most likes will be announced as the winner of the contest.
The winner will be announced online on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
The Mt. Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has been busy this fall season, promoting life in the region during this picturesque time of year. In addition to the photo contest, the MPACVB has compiled and released several lists of destinations and activities to enjoy this autumn.
There is 100 Days of Fall, a list of more than 100 things to do in and around Mt. Pleasant now through December. Mt. Pleasant Area Fall Flavor (plus Fun!) Tour takes readers throughout the region, highlighting food destinations from Rosebush to Shepherd and points in between. And A guide to CMU Chippewa’s favorite places was released for Homecoming, though remains no less relevant.
"We are excited to bring back the #FeelsLikeFall contest for the fifth year and to join visitors and community members in celebrating our cherished lifestyle," Martin says.
