Edward Jones Investments becomes the fourth business to open in downtown Benton Harbor this year, bringing a new professional service to the downtown area through its location in the Vincent Place building, one of the city’s anchor office buildings.

Bryan Tutton, owner of the new office of Edward Jones Investments, cut the ribbon at the recent ceremonial opening of the office at 185 E. Main Street.

“I wanted to do what I could to help revitalize Benton Harbor,” says Tutton. “I joined Edward Jones as a Financial Advisor in 2009 with a plan to open an office in the Benton Harbor area. I decided to open my office in the Arts District because it is vibrant and alive and I believe the Vincent is becoming the business Center of the Arts District.”

Tutton has a long history in Benton Harbor. His great grandfather Dr. H.V. Tutton was the founder of Mercy Hospital and was recognized as a medical pioneer there. Bryan grew up in Benton Harbor but spent most of his working life at IBM in California. He and his wife wanted decided to move back to the area to raise their child here.

Office hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments may be scheduled from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Edward Jones provides financial services for individual investors in the United States and, through its affiliates, in Canada. All aspects of the firm’s business are designed to cater to individual investors in the communities in which they live and work.
