Technology: Jobs Landed

My job involves writing, producing, and editing videos for Techsmith’s marketing department. My projects range from teasers for new product releases, tutorials, customer testimonials and anything else that requires video. I’m just getting started here, so I’ve yet to create a video of my own, but I’ve helped out with a few shoots and have really enjoyed my time here so far. I’m very excited to be part of the marketing department and working with a creative and talented team.

In this position, I will be using my attention to detail, strong writing skills and prior public relations internship experience to brainstorm and implement effective SEO services for clients to increase their traffic online. My focus will be on managing social media and developing concise, compelling copy for web content to increase clients' visibility in search engine results.

Manage large, complex insurance carrier groups. Responsible for customer relationship management for entire client lifecycle (Pre-sales, Implementation, Ongoing). Key focus is on growth, retention, and referrals of existing book of business.

Creating software to delight customers.

I support, maintain and implement IT systems, services and applications that support the operations and goals of TechSmith Corporation. I work with teams across the company to ensure they have the necessary systems and resources available to support their projects and advising them on current and future technologies available to assist with their goals.

I assist the marketing communications group in implementation of public relations, word of mouth marketing and social media activities across all of our product lines in both US and international markets.

I work with the User Experience Research team to help make TechSmith products easy to use. We conduct research to find out how TechSmith products are being used, what aspects of the products are working and what’s not, and how to make them better.

I help manage the main TechSmith.com website, including the store.

I work closely with TechSmith’s management and product teams to refine and understand what our customers need and want to accomplish with our software in various industries. To do that, I identify and execute product research related to marketing, product management and user experience. I use standard methods such as focus groups, surveys, discussion boards, field research and competitive analysis in interesting and creative ways. Then, I translate findings from these activities into work items for use by my coworkers who develop and market our software products worldwide.

As part of the Marketing Communications department for the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services at MSU, I will lead the development of digital communication strategies, focusing on web content and social media.

At TechSmith, I am software engineer assigned to the Camtasia Studio team. Camtasia Studio allows users to create, edit, and share informational videos. This is my first opportunity to work in and experience the Lansing area.

As a member of the inside sales team, I answer customer inquiries, process orders and work to increase our sales worldwide.

I help turn ideas into action by supporting a wide variety of marketing activities, including researching, writing, and organizing customer stories and content.

1. Working with stakeholders to streamline CMS content to the TechSmith Website and troubleshoot problems
