PR/Marketing: Jobs Landed

I assist in all aspects of the public relations industry from researching strategies, to getting to know the companies needs, to social media. Helping companies be able to tell their stories is something I look forward to the most.

As a public relations intern, I will work collaboratively with the Piper & Gold team. I will work on social media projects, promotional writing and research and developing media lists for clients and pro bono projects. I will also have the opportunity to create and build relationships within the local public relations community.

At Publicom, I will be working with the public relations team. My duties include compiling clip reports, helping in the production of press releases and reminders, and updating the media database. Having worked for two Southwest Michigan newspapers in high school, I am looking forward to being involved in the public relations side of communications. I am grateful to have this opportunity to gain real world experience in an agency and look forward to developing important professional skills through this position.

I'll be helping to maintain and improve the Garden Program's online presence as well as getting my hands in the dirt and assisting with gardening endeavors throughout the city.

Social Media Interns will create compelling and dynamic content that will build and sustain awareness about the program. The Social Media Intern will work collaboratively with staff across the organization while writing and gathering content for electronic publications and key social media sites such as Facebook as well as developing and maintaining a blog that promotes the goals and messages of the organization.

Working with Public Relations Consultant Kate Tykocki and the NEO Center on various PR projects here in Lansing and around the local area.

I am responsible for new business development and building and maintaining relationships with our current clients and strategic partners and helping keep everyone in constant communication.

I will be overseeing a variety of events for the organization, including employee appreciation events, business meetings, community engagements, and other special projects.  I will also be working closely with the marketing team to help manage and execute activities related to event marketing shows and tradeshows, turning ideas into action!

As Tria's graphic designer, I perform a wide variety of tasks, working with projects in both the digital and print forms. Working alongside marketing specialists and web developers, I supply the visuals to meet the needs of a client. This can take many shapes, including business cards, logos, websites, brochures or even large printed displays. And even that doesn't begin to cover all of the things I get to create on a daily basis. No two projects are alike, making every day a brand new experience and allowing me to constantly grow as a designer.

I’m a student and an assistant at a marketing and web design firm. I live and breathe marketing! I often take advantage of situations where my experiences at work enhance my performance in school and vise-versa. At work, I’m responsible for completing a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to the development and implementation of social media strategies, web site content development, writing for the web, and the creation of tutorial materials for our clients.

At OSA I’m responsible for developing and implementing public relations and legislative and advocacy strategies to advance aging-related issues on a statewide and national level. I also help provide communications support for statewide aging initiatives, services, programs and supports and serve as OSA’s primary media contact.

Working for Truscott Rossman is a wonderful opportunity for any young professional.  It is far from a “normal” internship, which was exactly what I was looking for!  Interns at TR are held to the highest of standards.  We help out with numerous things in the office such as writing press releases and media advisories, participating in meetings, strategic communications planning, advancing our clients’ social media outlets, planning special events and creating promotional materials.  Each of us has our own specialty, which creates a versatile intern team.

As the new Production Manager at Publicom, I work closely with our vendors
to coordinate job specifications, pricing and production for various types
of projects.  I also collaborate with our creative team, traffic manager,
media planners, account executives and others within our own walls, as
well as freelancers, to ensure that all projects are completed on time and
within expectations. I am looking forward to putting my 12 years of
experience in commercial print and mail production to good use, and am
excited to be part of the Publicom team.
