Lansing-based non-profits
Hannah's House and
Lansing Educational Advancement Foundation were among four organization who received more than 800 hours of marketing services from Publicom valued in excess of $125,000 and in-kind production and printing worth approximately $24,000 in the 24-hour event, Pro Bono Publico! in June.
"The event was a huge success," says Lisa O'Connor, president of Publicom. "Our Pro Bono Publico! clients left in tears - literally. They were overwhelmed by the work and were very thankful."
The non-profits received an array of services, such as logo design, news releases, brochures, radio and TV PSAs, website design and more. Publicom partnered with many other local professionals such as Ahptic Film & Digital, Digi Couture Apparel, Harvest Creative Services, Logan Brothers Printing, Trumpie Photography and more to provide the free services.
According to O'Connor, the philanthropic event was developed as a result of her firm's desire to celebrate their success and share their talents with the community.
"Publicom has been fortunate," she says. "We have had a successful business for 32 years. "Pro Bono Publico! Is our opportunity to use our time and talents to give back to organizations who otherwise would not be able to afford marketing communications to further their missions."
Special Days Camp of Ann Arbor and Detroit Area Diaper Bank of Canton were also recipients of the event this year.
