Lansing Symphony Orchestra receives first-ever $50K sponsorship

The Lansing Symphony Orchestra is tuning up for a new season with a first-of-its-kind sponsorship. The $50,000 contribution was made by Lansing’s Loomis Law, now the Presenting Sponsor of the entire six-part MasterWorks Series.

“We’re really excited about it,” says LSO Communications Coordinator Rachel Santorelli of the sponsorship. “It really shows the support for the orchestra from Lansing businesses.”

The unique sponsorship follows Loomis Law’s recent challenge grant to the LSO, during which it challenged the Orchestra to raise $90,000 with the promise to match that amount with $30,000.

The $50,000 sponsorship of the MasterWorks Series is paired with concert sponsors for each event.

“The LSO represents the city itself,” says Santorelli. “It’s really great that Loomis was able to show their commitment to the community help us continue to bring arts into the community.”

The MasterWorks Series begins Friday and continues through May of 2012.
