Translation agency rebrands, brings unique cultural education to Lansing

For the folks at 7C Lingo, translation means more than cross-referencing words in a bilingual dictionary. Companies in need of translation projects, cultural event planning, interpretation services and even cultural preparation for dealing with international businesses can find all of those services in the newly rebranded international communications company

When Fathy Shetiah began his company as the Global Image Network 2008, it wasn’t because he had a dream to get in the translation business.

“I never thought of translation,” says the entrepreneur, who worked first in the banking industry before owning and operating several Biggby Coffee locations with his brother. “I never thought there was a need.”

A former banking client asked for his help on one project and everything changed. After a few years of quietly helping word-of-mouth customers, Shetiah’s company was growing. Now with a staff of three and a network of translators in the thousands, he’s decided it’s time to rebrand his company and actively market it to grow even more.

“We have doubled our work every year,” says Shetiah. “Now we hope to triple this year.”

Along with the new name of 7C Lingo, the company has a new logo, website and social media campaigns. The identity changes took place in January and 7C Lingo’s new online presence went live in April.

“It’s been very positive so far,” says Shetiah of the community’s response. “We offer a very specialized service, and the people we talk to are very grateful that we’re around.”
